Following the tradition of a French ‘vin doux’ or a ‘mistelle’, our Rondo grape juice has been semi-fermented, before the addition of our Eau de Vie de Vin. The alcohol overcomes the natural yeasts and halts fermentation without the additional of sulphites. The rich, but not oversweet, flavours are reminiscent of cherry, blackberry and chocolate with a hint of smoke. Delicious with a mountain cheese, as a poaching liqueur for pears or quince, or go all out with a Black Forest Gateau.
